Summary of Core Beliefs
A full statement of faith and practice is available upon request. As well, we affirm the Baptist Faith and Message 2,000.
God
We believe in one triune God, eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—each co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections.
Bible
We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the verbally inspired Word of God, the final authority for faith and life, inerrant in the original writings, infallible and God- breathed.
Salvation
We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to every man by grace and received by personal, volitional faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, apart from works, whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins. Furthermore, we believe that all the redeemed are kept by God’s power and are thus secure in Christ forever.
The Church
We believe that the local church, is solely made up of born-again persons Scripturally baptized by immersion. We believe that the establishment and continuance of local churches is clearly taught and defined in the New Testament Scriptures.
Marriage & Sexuality
We believe that the term “marriage” has only one, legitimate meaning, and that is marriage sanctioned by God, which joins one man and one woman in a single, covenantal union, as delineated by Scripture. We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of marriage as defined above. We believe that any other type of sexual activity, identity or expression that lies outside of this definition of marriage are contradictory to God’s natural design. We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female. These two-distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God and the rejection of one’s biological gender is a rejection of the image of God within that person.
